What is a CoVE?
A Centre of Vocational Excellence is a specialist area of vocational training that is characterised by high pass rates on courses, outstanding resources, highly qualified and professional trainers and good employer links.
What specialist area is our CoVE?
Our CoVE officially includes Coaching, Leisure and Fitness provision.
How do the two colleges work together?
Each college continues to serve its current catchment area and continues to deliver the same courses. For its Coaching, Leisure and Fitness provision, the colleges share best practice and work together to produce a high quality course portfolio that addresses industry-specific needs.
How much additional funding has the CoVE attracted?
A total of £500 000 has been invested over the last three years.
What has the money be used for?
There has been a wide range of capital and revenue investment on teaching resources, materials, specialist equipment, books, staff development, refurbishment of classrooms, additional posts and course subsidies.
